Got Pie? Nick Swisher and the New York Yankees do!  A come from behind victory for the Bombers tonight give the Yankees 2 wins for this series against the Birds.  Posada’s blast in the 9th tied the game at 5. Starting Pitcher Phil Hughes is still experiencing growing pains for the 2011 season.  His velocity is continuing to be a problem and Yankee Manager Joe Girardi continues to be worried.  Both Colon and Chamberlain had terrific outings tonight.  Joba’s tag at the plate was amazing.  Mariano gets the win tonight with a Swisher Sweet fly ball scoring Teixeira from third base for a 6-5 victory for the Yanks.  Earlier Swisher had a play of the game catch in right field taking away a two-base hit from the Birds. Alex Rodriguez went 3 for 3 tonight and scored a run for the Bombers.

Ivan Nova takes the hill tomorrow as the Yankees host the always tough Texas Rangers for a 3-game series at the stadium.  A serious blow to the Yankees today was learning that new comer Pedro Feliciano may be out with season ending surgery.  According to, the former Met pitcher comments, “I want to be here,” Feliciano said. “I’m a guy who wants to pitch every day, like I’ve been doing for the last three or four years. To be shut down for maybe a year, I don’t know how I’m going to handle it. That’s going to be hard.” Hopefully the bull pen recipe for this season will be able to carry on giving the Yankees a competitive edge in the late innings.
