Game 41: RED SOX at Yankees

What is going on with the Yankees?? They get swept by the Red Sox, got them at 500, are on a 5 game losing streak and are 2 games behind the Rays in the AL East standings.  I guess it could be worse but this is not Yankees baseball.  There were several mistakes the Yankees made that cost them the ball game and the series.

In the 3rd, when Freddy Garcia walked Adrian Gonzalez, it was crucial to the outcome of the game.  Also, the error committed by Alex Rodriguez was bad for the Yanks because it gave the Red Sox their 2 run lead back.  The Yankees need to get out of this losing slump they are in.

Today the Yankees are in Tampa Bay to face the Rays, and hopefully today A.J. Burnett can put the Bombers back on track.  If the Yankees sweep this short 2 game series with the Rays, they will tie for the lead with the Rays and hopefully end the streak of sloppy play.
